More information about:

The Robin Fund –

The Robin Fund assists people in our community faced with a financial crisis and nowhere else to go. When family finances are in precarious balance any emergency becomes a struggle for survival. In such a situation, a grant or loan from the Robin Fund can be made quickly and without a lot of red tape. It can make a world of difference for the recipient. And thanks to the compassionate administration by GIAC staff and volunteers, 100% of each donation goes directly to people in need! Friends and family of Robin Whittlesey started the Robin Fund as a way to perpetuate her legacy of boundless generosity and deep concern for people in the community.

Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC) –

The Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC) is a center for all ages, particularly youth and teens. It serves the immediate neighborhood and the greater Ithaca area by providing multicultural, educational, and recreational programs focused on social and individual development. The center’s programs include services dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people we serve; advocating for the rights and needs of youth, families, underrepresented, and disenfranchised populations; providing structured employment training opportunities for at-risk youth and adults; and fighting against oppression and intimidation in our community. The center executes this mission through its own programming and by drawing on the resources of other community agencies and individuals.

More information about the artists:

Amir Ali – Amir Ali, currently residing in Ithaca, New York, is a musician and recording artist that looks forward to sharing his talents at this evening’s event! Showing a penchant for art and music at a young age, he would spend his formative years learning to draw, paint, and play guitar. Later, he would develop his skills as a songwriter, record producer, and recording artist. After graduating from Ithaca College’s Art department, where he studied painting, drawing, and sculpture, he began working full time for the Ithaca Youth Bureau in the Recreation Department.
