TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office (TSCO) and New York State Police (NYSP) responded to multiple reports of commercial burglaries in the Towns and Villages of Lansing and Dryden on July 25.
Deputies responded Autoworks in Dryden where unknown suspects unlawfully entered a building and stole keys to customers’ vehicles. The suspect then used those keys to steal a vehicle from the lot and leave the scene.
Additionally, deputies responded to Myers Park in Lansing for a reported burglary, in which unknown suspects unlawfully entered the admissions building and stole money out of a cash box.
Responding deputies canvassed the area and recovered the stolen vehicle from the Town of Lansing, and the TSCO currently believes that the incidents are related.

Also on July 25, the NYSP received burglary reports from All Saints Church, the Aldi construction site and Lake Breeze Ice Cream, all of which are in the Town or Village of Lansing. Anyone with information related to these crimes is asked to contact the state police at (607)347-4463.
