Update (4:29 p.m.): After an investigation, police have given the all-clear to return to the Center for Natural Sciences. IC Director of Public Relations Dave Maley issued the following statement:
“Following a police investigation, it has been determined that a telephoned bomb threat made for the Center for Natural Sciences on Friday, Aug. 5, was non-credible. The building can be reoccupied, and no further action is needed,” Maley said. “The investigation included a building sweep by K-9 bomb sniffing dogs. Several other colleges in New York State, including SUNY Cortland and SUNY Binghamton, received similar hoax bomb threats on Friday.”

ITHACA, N.Y.—The Center for Natural Sciences building at Ithaca College has been evacuated after the school said it received a bomb threat Friday.
An IC Alert was sent to all employees at 2:42 p.m. Friday announcing the evacuation and threat and advising people to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
IC Director of Public Relations David Maley said that there is no more information available yet but the investigation is continuing. He noted that nearby SUNY Cortland had also received a bomb threat Friday, targeting two campus buildings. It was found to be non-credible after investigation.
Requests for comment sent to Ithaca Police Department and the Tompkins County Sheriffs Office have not yet been returned.
