TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—The Tompkins County Health Department is holding its fall rabies clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets.

The first clinic will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Groton Fire Station at 108 East Cortland Street, and the second will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the TCAT Bus Garage at 737 Willow Ave in Ithaca.

Pre-registration is advised, and appointments may be scheduled here.

Proof of prior vaccination will be required for the three-year rabies certificate, and dogs must be leashed or in carriers, and cats and ferrets must be in carriers.

Donations will be accepted, though there is no charge for the vaccines otherwise.
