Sept. 30 update: The timeline for the asphalt repair on portions of Hector Street has been extended to Oct. 14. Delays should be expected for the duration of the work.

ITHACA, N.Y.—Road work to repair portions of Hector Street is scheduled to begin Monday, Sept. 19.

Work will take place from the 100 to the 1,000 block of Hector Street/Route 79 from Floral Avenue to Warren Place, and traffic will be reduced to a single lane throughout the work zones for the duration of the work.

The project includes full-depth pavement repairs at various locations in the area.

No detours will be in place, but delays should be expected. The project is scheduled to end on Sept. 30.
