ITHACA, N.Y.—A part of North Tioga Street will be intermittently closed throughout the day Thursday to allow for a movie crew to shoot a film there, the City of Ithaca announced.

There will be some “short-term” closures of the 400 block of North Tioga Street between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. while filming takes place. The film being shot is “My First Film” by filmmaker Zia Anger, according to Tompkins County Director of Communications Dominick Recckio (it is unclear why the film is being shot if a version of it was released in 2019, as listed on the internet). Anger went to Ithaca College and is from Ithaca originally.

The area will be marked with barricades and staffed with traffic control workers, according to the city. Caution is encouraged.

Also, a reader spotted a possibly related film set-up outside of the Fall Creek House on Wednesday afternoon.
