ITHACA, N.Y.—The Ithaca Police Department has announced the arrest of one person after a robbery that took place on West State Street Thursday afternoon.
Elijah Pratt, 44 of Dryden, was found, identified and arrested a short time after a robbery was reported in the 500 block of West State Street around 3:30 p.m.
The victim in the incident reported waiting near a bus stop when he was “physically attacked” by the suspect, according to police. The victim said that they were punched several times and that the suspect stole several items from the victim’s pockets during the incident.
Police soon located Pratt and discovered several of the stolen items during the investigation. He was charged with third degree robbery, a Class D felony, and remanded to Tompkins County Jail without bail.
