TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—It’s Thanksgiving time again, the holiday of food and drink. For those without the means for whatever reason, some local organizations may be able to help you join in the celebration.

Several organizations held similar events during the past weekend, but as for those still looking for a warm meal to enjoy this week, there appear to be two main options, at least in Ithaca.

Loaves & Fishes, at 210 North Cayuga Street in Ithaca, will be holding its annual free Thanksgiving meal at from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23. Doors will be open at 11:30 a.m. to warm up and have some appetizers or hot drinks. The menu includes turkey, gravy, potatoes, roasted squash, glazed carrots, cranberry and chocolate mousse.

No Más Lágrimas / No More Tears is holding their food distribution on Wednesday, Nov. 23 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Henry St. John building, held in the gym area at the east entrance from the parking lot.

On Thanksgiving itself, Nov. 24, the Salvation Army will be holding its annual meal from 12-1 p.m. for dine-in orders. Those who ordered to-go meals can pick them up from 11 to 11:45 a.m. The meal is held at the Salvation Army location at 150 North Albany Street in Ithaca.
