ITHACA, N.Y.—The Ithaca College men’s basketball team found itself in an unusual place Monday night, hours after its last-second victory over Hamilton College: atop SportsCenter’s nightly Top 10 Plays of the Day highlights.

Division III basketball is not normally in such a prominent spotlight, but Monday’s heroics were certainly deserving: with 0.6 seconds left and the score tied at 57, IC sophomore guard Logan Wendell flipped a wild shot blindly over his head after grabbing a rebound off a missed three-pointer. Wendell’s shot bounced off the front rim, kissed off the backboard and dropped into the hoop as the second-half buzzer sounded.

The Bombers bench exploded after the shot fell in, as can be seen below.

Wendell finished with 10 points, while the Bombers were ledin scoring by Luka Radovich with 15. The win lifted the Bombers to 5-4 on the young season, while Hamilton College fell to 8-5.
