ITHACA, N.Y.—One person is in custody after a fight on West State Street Tuesday afternoon.
Ithaca police responded to a report of a fight around 12:30 p.m. in the 600 block of West State Street. According to a police announcement, one subject “cut and stabbed the other subject.”
The suspect was found after a brief search. Chanel Savage, 40, of Ithaca, was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Savage was arraigned and remanded to Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
The victim suffered “non-life-threatening lacerations and stab wounds” and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police.
