TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—A winter weather advisory is currently in effect through 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, with possible ice accumulations later this afternoon and evening.

Mixed precipitation is anticipated, with snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches with a light glaze of ice. Wind gusts may also get as high as 35mph, according to Binghamton’s National Weather Service (NWS).

Slippery road conditions are expected, and hazardous conditions may impact evening driving conditions.

Later in the afternoon, snow and freezing rain will change to rain overnight.
