ITHACA, N.Y.—Officers from the Ithaca Police Department responded to a complaint of an assault at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 4, in a business parking lot on the 200 block of South Cayuga Street.

The victim reported that three males were trespassing and disposing of trash in the parking lot before being asked to leave.

Two of the males that the victim had spoken to left, but a third person refused, according to police. The third suspect then reached inside the victim’s parked truck and struck the victim in the face.

The punch caused swelling and substantial pain to the left side of the victim’s face, and the suspect fled the scene as the victim called the police.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6’1″ tall and 200 pounds, and was wearing heavy clothing and a dark colored jacket.
