TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—State police have arrested a man after a six-month investigation into unfulfilled HVAC installations.

According to police, Orion Parker Megivern, 44, was charged with second-degree grand larceny and first-degree scheme to defraud. Both are felony charges.

“The investigation found that Parker Megivern entered into agreements with customers for HVAC type installations, and after receiving down payments, either never started the agreed upon work or completed only a minimal amount of work without finishing,” police stated. “The investigation covered incidents dating to September of 2019 and included 13 separate complainants.”

Parker Megivern was arraigned and released. Police are asking anyone else impacted by similar incidents with Parker Megivern to contact either the state police (607-347-4462) or the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division (607-257-1345).
