The Trumansburg Farmers’ Market is back for the 2023 season, and organizers say the weekly community event is growing.
“We have a packed season ahead, with more vendors than ever and additional programming beyond our weekly music and Story Time provided by the Ulysses Philomathic Library,” said Debbie Biltonen, chair of the market’s board.
There are three dozen vendors planning to be at the market this year, up from about 20 in 2000. New vendors include: The Grasshopper, Oracle Chocolates, Keily’s Cooking, Easy Living Hats, Mojo’s Hot Sauce and more.
The market will run every Wednesday from May to October, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Village Park on Route 96. Expansion of the market’s summer programming follows a successful first winter season, which ran February to April and was located in the village Fire Department.
“Trumansburg is growing, and we’re growing with it,” said market manager Natalie Baris. “There is an opportunity for the market to play a larger role in the community.” Baris has led the market since 2019 and in March was recognized as the 2023 Trumansburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s Person of the Year.
