TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y.—Results from the hotly-anticipated primaries in Tompkins County this year have been released and delivered some surprising results.

While turnout was reportedly a bit slow because of high early voting participation, voters interviewed said they were primarily concerned with rent prices, the overall price of living in the city and how the city plans to deal with increasing homelessness in Ithaca and countywide.

As an annual reminder, these are unofficial results. While early voting ballots are counted within these results, the deadline for receipt of absentee and mail-in ballots isn’t until next week, and those must be counted before the results are finalized.

These results will be updated throughout the night. These are current as of 11:30 p.m., according to the Board of Elections. You can see the results for yourself here.
