ITHACA, N.Y.—Ithaca-area resident Keith Rowser Jr., 28, has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his father after an investigation by state police concluded Wednesday.
Police responded to a “suspicious death” at a house on Danby Road in the Town of Ithaca around 3:00 pm on Wednesday, according to state police, where Keith Rowser, 52, was found dead. Later that day, Rowser Jr. was taken into custody, arraigned, and remanded to the Tompkins County jail without bail.
The charge Rowser Jr. faces, murder in the second degree, carries a maximum sentence of life with parole after 25 years if Rowser Jr. is convicted.
The investigation is ongoing.
