Andrew Joseph Ginter passed away unexpectedly in his apartment in Brooktondale on 6/20/23. He was born on 7/5/1954 in Buffalo, N.Y. The family moved to the North Country, Glenfield, N.Y when he was a teenager and he’d since moved around to several places in New York.
He’d made his home in the Ithaca area for over 20 years, where he enjoyed working, playing music, thrift shopping and hanging out with friends, which whom he’d often have cookouts.
He was an accomplished guitar player and would play at open mics in Ithaca bars, and was a busker in various locations. He posted on YouTube, where he played mostly blues.
He is survived by a sister, Sari Fitzgerald, and a brother, two nieces and nephews, one aunt and many cousins. He was predeceased by his mother and father and 3 uncles.
A memorial gathering is being planned in the near future.
