LANSING, N.Y. — Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit is taking a look at service for the Town and Village of Lansing and will be gathering feedback from residents on how the service could be improved.
TCAT is holding two public information sessions over the next two weeks to gather input from Lansing residents about the current schedule and see if more service options would be helpful.
“We are open to adding service in the middle of the day and potentially on weekends,” TCAT Service Development Manager Matt Yarrow said in a news release. “We are also open to changing where the routes travel so we can capture new riders, so feedback from Lansing riders is essential.”
Currently, Lansing routes run at morning and evening peak times with Routes 36 and 37 offering five trips per day on weekdays and Route 77 providing four trips per day on Saturdays.
The meetings are scheduled as followed: noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Room G-22 in Cornell’s Plant Science Building, located at 236 Tower Road in Ithaca ; 5 to 6:30 p.m. June 13 at the Lansing Town Hall board room, located at 29 Auburn Road in Lansing.
